Well it’s very different here and I miss cuddling up with and fighting the others, but it’s good. They give me lots of love and play and they are showing me what I’m supposed to do here. The food is fab too, when I finally get it!
I don’t have anyone else trying to eat it at the same time as me and I can’t wait to get in there. I get so excited I start barking as soon as I see the food coming. Hurry up and put it on the floor! It’s always just been given to me when I barked for it before. She’s so slow, standing there and not even looking at me. I’ve tried jumping up, but I can’t reach high enough. It’s too much and I dash round and round the kitchen to let her know just how hungry I am. Give it to me! Still she just stands there, looking away. What do I have to do to get that bowl? More barking? More jumping? More running in circles? A growl might help. This is really frustrating! Wait a minute. The other dog is just sitting there quietly and looking at the bowl. Mine is so high up in the air. I give up. I don’t think it’s coming. I get so tired that I think Ill sit down and try in a minute or so.
At last! The bowl is coming down to the floor! I dive towards it, but something is holding me back and the bowl rises up again. It took me ages to work out that the bowl won’t stay on the floor until I sit down and wait like the other dog does. It’s really hard but I’ve managed it and my reward is always delicious. Maybe next time I’ll be a bit more patient. Maybe!
